Please forgive me if this idea has been mentioned before. I suspect it has, but can find no evidence.

Instead of allowing strings that consist of combinations of a limited set of printable characters, may I suggest the library be limited to combinations of only sixteen characters? When searching for text, or anything for that matter, the system would convert the input into hexadecimal and search for the hex string.

The library would contain, literally, everything. Every language, all program object code, all images, every data.

    Peter.
