    It would be easy to tell that there are no repeated books if the permutations would be in order, but they’re not.

    If this website uses an RNG with a seed, it can’t gurantee that two different seeds won’t geerate the same output. Actually they are supposed to do that sometimes to keep the PRNG random enough.

    So with that in mind, how can the author gurantee that every permutation is in the library? Or in other words: how do we know that there are no repeated books?

    I guarantee, the librarian who finds one of these books would become my hero. (Even if the changes it would probably have.)
