All my love to Reddit

There’s a lot of great work elsewhere on the internet inspired by Borges’ story. For starters, I wanted to pay my respects to all the wonderful folks who have been visiting here from reddit. They’ve started quite an interesting discussion (in the way only reddit can) – http://www.reddit.com/r/InternetIsBeautiful/comments/30qu02/the_library_of_babel_is_a_place_for_scholars_to/March 30, 2015 at 7:51 pm #80
I wanted to bring attention to the subreddit I created a few years ago: /r/libraryofbabel.
Imagine my surprise and delight when I saw this post today on my frontpage. This is a beautiful thing and I hope to find some time to play in it as I hope you all find some time to visit reddit’s version of the Library. It’s a bit less random, and the rules aren’t quite as strict, but it’s a fine place full of likeminded individuals.
Stay away from /r/LinkedLibraryofBabel though, those people are crazy.March 30, 2015 at 10:18 pm #82
Hey zombiecake – I came across your subreddit while I was working on the site. It’s great! I’m glad that Borges’ story is living its second (and third…and fourth…) lives on the internet!April 24, 2015 at 5:00 pm #122
Oh god, this is too good to be true. Thanks everyone.
Let me repay you suggesting a great, great book: http://ukcatalogue.oup.com/product/9780195334579.doMay 4, 2015 at 7:44 am #164
First of all let me thank you Jonathan for taking the time and putting this up. Since I’ve read The Library I only dared to imagine what you actually put into practice. This is brilliant work.
The Library is indeed one of the reads that changed my life and now this site and forum just shows that there are more of us out there (in here).
I was just about to recommend W.B. Bloch’s paper on the Library topic – glad to see/meet other Borges aficionados in/out here.
Cheers & Keep reading,May 25, 2015 at 1:28 pm #297

Thank you, Shigeru.
There’s also a conversation about the site taking place on metafilter with some lovely insights and links to interesting resources related to universal libraries: http://www.metafilter.com/149894/By-this-art-you-may-contemplate-the-variation-of-the-23-letters
